Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper: " Paul Davenport, 71, a former Iberia and Brumley resident living in Kansas City, died Friday ( February 28, 1975) morning at a Kansas City hospital. Mr. Davenport was born Jan. 13, 1904, near Iberia, the son of John and Edna Lewis Davenport. He had been a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ near Tuscumbia. Survivors include: one son, Paul Ray Davenport and one daughter, Mrs. Nola Cannon, both of Kansas City; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Patterson and Mrs. Dora Bilyeu, both of Iberia; Mrs. Mae Brockman; Mrs. Alma Markle and Mrs. Icie Peel, all of Kansas City; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held today, at the Stevinson Chapel, Iberia, with Brother John Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Point Cemetery, near Iberia."
