Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper - 1974: "Algie Huston Hassler, 66, formerly of Belle, died Monday ( Feb. 4, 19740 at Garden City, Kansas. His wife, Mrs. Alma Kroll Hassler, survives at the home. Other survivors include: four sons, Charles Hassler, Guyson, Okla.; Huston Hassler and Algie Hassler, both of Garden City, Kan.; and John Hassler, Manor, Kans..; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Culp and Mrs. Essie Bates, both of Burr Oaks, Kans.; and Mrs. Clair Best, Columbus, Kans. Two brothers, Louis Hassler, Union, and Delbert Hassler, St. Louis; three sisters, Mrs. Flossie Pointer, Marshall; Miss (??) Alvina Kinkead, Sedalia; and Mrs. Buena Wilbers, Holts Summit; and 24 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at St. Alexander's Catholic church, Belle, with the Rev. Grellner officiating. Burial will be in the College Hill Cemetery near Belle. Jones Funeral Home, Belle, is in charge of arrangements."
