I live here in Purdy Mo not far from where they lived and were buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. I have some info as well. My grandfather was Jeremiah Greenbury Laney (Jerry G Laney) of Purdy. I found and donated to the Barry County Museum, Civil War Medals of Archibald McAfee Laney and would like any information on him that others have. I know he married Mary Ann Garoutte first and find that I know almost nothing about that marriage. I do not even know Elizabeth's first husband's first name. I do know of her children by Elliott. They are Clark Elliott, Dora Elliott Eads, Ollie, and Amy. I am finding information in the Christian County records that list John Laney married to Sophia Garoutte. I thought that Jeremiah came to Billings with Sophia and begat Archibald. Does anyone know Archibald's Brothers and sisters? For some reason things are not right and there is a lot of disinformation ! out there. Could we all get the information and find out what is right? I am patiently waiting for some help. I do know where Elizabeth's dad and Mother are and their names if that helps. I will share whatever I have. Thank you!
