Ray Conyer of Owensville and Minister Arvil Elrod officiating. Burial was in the Campbell cemetery. Mr. Holman was born near Grove Dale, October 7, 1876, a son of Davie and Adaline (Adkins) Holman and died at his home early Thursday, January 10. He was married to Carrie Ritter, December 20, 1908. Nine children were born of this marriage. Surviving with the wife are five daughters, Essie Holman of the home, Mrs. Opal McDaniels, Mrs. Maude Rakes, Mrs. Jesse Shanks and Mrs. Vetta McDaniels and three sons, Davie, Willard and Willie. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Jaegers of Belle. Mr. Holman lived his entire life in this community being active until his recent illness.
