Hi Jewell, Your Great-Great-Grandfather William Davidson Barnhart (10-13-1824 to 1-3-1894) and his wife Marilla Catherine Babb (10-11-1825 to 5-8-1902) are buried in Stokes Cemetery. These birth and death dates are taken from headstone markings or (if I couldn't read them) from the Maries County, MO Cemetery Book. Their daughter Martha Barnhart Stokes (my Great-grandmother 8-2-1847 to 1-8-1891) is buried there. William Davidson Barnhart and Marilla Babb's son Caleb M. Barnhart (11-18-1851 to 9-6-1937) and his wife Celia Clementine Stokes (3-26-1851 to 4-19-1928) are buried beside his parents William and Marilla Barnhart and near her parents Edward S. and Nancy Stokes. William and Marilla's daughter Sarah Francis Barnhart (3-26-1859 to 3-24-1937) and her husband Isaac Burnham (2-18-1847 to 5-20-1927) are buried her parents. I have had no luck finding the burial place for your (and my) Sarah Sally Seaton. She married Caleb Babb Aug 3, 1819 in Greene Co., TN. They moved to Missouri sometime around 1841-43 and lived and died in Osage County near the location of the present town of Babbtown. According to family stories he died Aug 8, 1871. She died December 29, 1871. Also, according to family stories, they are buried over near Babbtown at the same cemetery where William Davidson Barnhart's parents Abraham Barnhart and Mary Ann White are buried. That cemetery is a very old cemetery north of Babbtown about a mile or so on the old Shannon farm. The property owner does not live on the land. There's a caretaker for the farm where the old cemetery is located. At one time it was the Burd (or Bird) Cemetery. It now goes by the name Groene Cemetery and it's grown up in trees and is part of the cattle operations on the land now. I visited the cemetery two years ago in the fall and most of the old stones are sandstone. I found a headstone with "A. Barnhart" but no dates on it. I did not find a headstone with the name Babb. Nearly all of the stones are smooth or are weathered so badly they appear smooth. Bob Prater, Tulsa, OK
