Hello All, I am new to the list & would like to share what I know of my family, also looking for additional info. My grandfather Thomas Fred (Vandgrifft)? may have spelled it different, moved his family to the Belle & Bland area between 1940 & 1945. All their children went to school in the area, Thomas (Fred) died on 2/14/1956 & is buried at Liberty Cemetery at Belle. My grandmother Velma (Woods) continued to live in the area for many many years.She died on 4/16/1996 in Salem. I remember as a child that my g grandparents (Woods) lived there also. I know quite a bit about the Woods side, but very little about the Vandgrifft's. For some reason as I was growing up no one talked about my grandfather. Is there anyone who knows who he was & anything about him ? All I've been able to find out is when & where he was born. His mother's name is Laura (Dobbs) born about 1869 in Mo.
