BRANSON Emory C. "Fussy" Branson, age 55, died early Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City of a heart attack he suffered late last week. He had been in failing health for the past 4 months. Mr. Branson had lived his entire life in the Belle-Bland area and had worked as a fireman for the Rock Island Railroad for 17 years. He was born the son of James Henry Branson and Florence Branson Branson in Osage County on November 4, 1904, and was educated in the Belle school system. Survivors include his wife Mary, a son Michael Wayne, a stepson, Daniel Page Scott of the home; his mother, Mrs. James Branson, one brother, Amos Branson of Eldon; two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Branson of St. Louis, and Mrs. Lelia Goforth of Dixon. One son, Wilbur, preceeds him in death. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Belle Christian Church with Minister Richard Lankford officiating.
