She had been a resident of Maries Manor for several years. Dorothy was born July 27, 1909 in Maries County to the late George Workman and Anna (James) Workman. She was married to Joe Dugmanics on Aug. 25, 1949. After marriage, they spent several years in California, then moved back to St. James. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 15, 1998; her parents; five brothers, David, Wilmer, George Aveny, Lester and Doyle; and one sister, Beulah. Survivors include: one son, Steve Dugmanics of Arizona; one brother, Lloyd Workman of Vienna; five sisters-in-law, Jessie Workman, Maxine Workman and Goldene Workman, all of Vienna, Ethel Davis of Vichy, and Bertha Gall of Rolla; three sisters, Ethel Maxwell and Lucy Sexton of Vienna and Wilma Hayes of St. James; and one brother-in-law Robert Sexton of Vienna. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999 in the James and Gahr Chapel with Rev. Karen Alden officiating. Organ music was provided by Connie Rhea with vocal selections by Marty Moreland. Pallbearers were George Davis, Lloyd Workman, Robert Sexton, Robert Wood, James Peterman and Randy Workman. Interment was in the Davis Cemetery in Maries County. Memorials may be made to the Lower Davis Cemetery. All arrangements were by James and Gahr Mortuary of St. James.
