Delilah Martin b. 1831 in North Carolina married John Magers/Majors in Osage County Missouri on 17 Mar 1854. I assume he was widowed of Polly Hinkle at the time. Delilah is living with Jackson Riggs in 1880 census, Tempe is not with her mother in 1880 census? Glad to provide further help with family. Meg Margaret H. Meg -- Thanks a lot -- that is a big help since I often wondered how Polly became Delilah. The family bible had her listed as Dolly so I'm still a little puzzled. Maybe it was a nickname for Delilah since there were so many Delilahs around that area at the same time according to the census.
