Funeral services for Thomas Fred Vandgriff, 58 year old Belle farmer and fireclay prospector, are to be conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Assembly of God Church with the pastor, the Rev A C Perkins, officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery. Mr Vandgriff died Tuesday at Barnes Hospital at St Louis. Death was attributed to heart disease. He was born 31 May 1897 at DeValls Bluff AR, a son of Thomas and Laura Vandgriff. He married Miss Velma Woods 16 April 1931 and to this union seven children were born. Surviving with the wife are six children, Louise, Mrs Wanda Mitchell, Ted a Marine in the service, Darline, Marlene, and terry, all of Belle; and two grandchildren. One child, five sisters and two brothers have died. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Sassmann's Service.
