About 1936 my father put me and my sister in an orphan home. As I got older I realized it was run by the Seventh Day Adventist. It was a sad story because we were not orphans! Mom and Dad divorced. We lived in Sherman, TX and Dad in Muskogee, OK. Mom had to have an operation and ask Dad to keep us for 2 months. Two month and Mom came for us. When Mom found out what happened all hell broke loose. She came with the police and all I remember The policeman yelling at the man who ran the orphans home and showing him papers. This home was in the country , 2 story and 16 girls in it. A boys unite up on a hill and lots of wild berries and a creek running in front of the house.
