WALLY DEARLOVE Wallace "Wally" Clinton Dearlove, 65, of Swedeborg was born Dec. 31, 1934, at O'Kean, AR, a son of John and Marie Martin Dearlove, and departed this life at 4:45 p.m., on Saturday afternoon, Nov 4. 2000, in the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia. He has suffered a stroke five months prior. Mr. Dearlove was united in marriage on Oct. 8, 1960 at Pocahontas, AR, to the former Miss Lillie Dell Smith, and to this union four children were born. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Laura Dearlove in 1968; his father in 1961; his mother in 1941; two brothers, C.W. Dearlove and Johnny Black; and one sister, Emma Dearlove. Mr. Dearlove was a United States Army Veteran retiring Jan. 31, 1974, at Ft. Leonard Wood with over 20 years of service. He was a life member of the Crocker VFW Post. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Dearlove include: His wife, Lillie Dearlove, of the home in Swedeborg; two sons, Keith Dearlove of Anna Maria, FL and Kevin Dearlove of Rolla; one daughter Lynn Boyce of Swedeborg; seven grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Nov. 8, 2000, in the Crocker Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with Pastor Doug Jacobson officiating. The Dixon Church of Christ choir sang "Father Along" and "Precious Memories" for the funeral service. Graveside services with full military honors were held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2000 in the Sutton Cemetery in Pocahontas, AR. Honorary pallbearers were Andy Lowe, Larry Roam, Randy Boyce, Junior Smith, Norman Smith, Keith Lundh and Rick Zweerink. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Swedeborg School with envelopes available at the Crocker Officer (sic) of the Birmingham Martin Funeral Homes.
