I have just subscribed to the MOMARIES LIST so am not too familiar with what is wanted about the Goforth family. There were members of the Goforth family in neighboring Miller County in the 1900 census. I imagine they were kin to the Maries County Goforths.....They were: James F. & Fannie (Gardner) Goforth (married 1893) with 3 children; Robert and Susie (McKinley) Goforth (married 1890) with 3 children; Andrew M. and Julia Ann (Barlow) Goforth (married 1896) with 2 children. All 3 of the Goforth men were sons of David I. Goforth and his 2nd wife, Mary Condra-Seigle. All lived in or near Iberia, Richwoods township. Also, in the 1880 census, there was a family who lived northeast of Iberia and were operating the old Brays Mill. That family was: Albert Allen Arendall (1842-1925) and his wife, Helen (Goforth) Arendall (1838-1924). I think they married in Maries County before coming to Miller County to operate the mill for Thomas Bray, who also owned the old Pay Down Mill in Maries County. Albert and Helen (Goforth) Arendall are buried at the old Brays cemetery and also buried there is a lady named Mary H. Goforth (1827-1879).....I don't know who she was.
