Hi Everyone, I am trying to piece together my husband’s ancestry and am presently working on his Martin Family and their related lines. Hopefully some one out there researching Martin’s in the Dry Creek area will recognize these folks. There seem to have been a lot of Martins there, and I would assume that most of them were somehow related to each other, but so far I can’t piece them all together. Any information, help, suggestions, etc. would be most welcome. I know hubby would love it if I could find some long lost cousins and I’d be delighted too. B Jul 9, 1828 in North Carolina, died 1902 in Arkansas, buried in Humphries Cemetery Spouse: Esther? Born abt 1836 in Alabama Children: (may be more than just those I have listed): 1. Carl Martin born abt 1850 in Missouri, died 1832 in Arkansas, buried in Humphries Cemetery, spouse: Susan Williams (possibly a dau of R.B. Williams) 2. Amanda Martin b abt 1858 in Missouri 3. Elizabeth Martin b abt 1862 in Missouri 4. Sarah Jane Martin b abt 1865 in Missouri, died 1932 in Arkansas. Buried in Humphries Cemetery, spouse: George W. Hall 5. William S. Martin b abt 1866 in Missouri 6. David M. Martin b abt 1870 in Missouri Additional Information on Children listed above: Carl Martin and Susan Williams had the following children (family listed on 1880 census for Dry Creek, Maries County): 1. Charles Martin b about 1873 in Missouri, may have married a Rosa ? 2. Lou M. Martin(probably Lumina Martin that married John Copeland in 1894) 3. Walker Martin b abt 1878 in Missouri 4. Cora Ellen Martin b abt 1885 in Vienna, Maries Co., Mo, married William Hall(son of George W. Hall and Sarah Martin listed below) 5. Walker Martin b abt 1888( this could be a duplicate of the one listed above_, probably married a Maggie, died 1953 in Arkansas, buried in Humphries Cemetery. 6. Will Martin married a Pearl Massey 7. Sarah Martin married a Bert King Sarah Jane Martin and George W. Hall had the following children: 1. William Hall, b Sept 38, 1885 in Morrison, Logan Co., Arkansas died Aug 1969 in Arkansas, buried in Humphries Cemetery, spouse Cora Lee Martin(dau of Carl Martin and Susan Williams listed above), additional spouses: Lee Hill & Zellie Bookout. 2. Alice Hall b abt 1887 in Arkansas, married George W. Hatman 3. Mary Hall, b Sep 30, 1889, died Apr 1979 in Wiseman Arkansas, married Ruf Bookout 4. Rebecca Hall, married Phillip Courtwright 5.
