Erma, I don't know where you live and what information you already have or are looking for. If you live in Missouri go to St. Louis County or St. Louis City Genealogy Library. The city has the best, they have census records, ships records on micro film and History books on practically all the Counties in Missouri. I would go to the courthouse at Potosi and look at tax records, marriage records, etc. I would find out at the courthouse if there is a Washington County Historical Society. If you don't live in Missouri, go to the largest Genealogy Library in your State Capitol or large city and see what they have on Missouri. Go to a Latter Day Saints Church and have them get on the computer to Utah and see what they have on who ever you are looking for.
