I have a Clemens Juergens in my 1860 Maries Co. census. It states that he was born in Prussia as was his wife. But his Wife's name [I assume it is his wife] is Mary. In 1860, he is 56 years and she is 47 years old. Quite a few children were shown, one of them named Clemens. The first 5 children were born in PA, the next 3 in Illinois and the last 2 were born in Missouri. If you want the names of the children, please let me know. I did not find any Menzel family in the census. There are quite a few Crismons however. My grandmillie said that they were married in 1838 in Pittsburgh, PA, but I can't find anything there on them. They stopped enroute to Missouri for a few years in Illinois finally getting to Maries Co. in 1850.
