Zion Baptist Church Funeral Services for Edgar James Dingley, life-long Dingley resident, were to be conducted this afternoon at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Jett and the Rev. Charles W. Halbrook were to officiate. Mr. Dingley died Monday night, Feb 18, 1952, at the home of a son, Egbert Dingley, at Belle. He was 79 years, 6 months and 24 days old. Death followed a long illness. He was born August 24, 1872 near Bland, a son of the late Edward and Sarah Dingley. He married Orpha Miles June 1, 1899 and to this marriage seven children were born. Three sons preceded him in death. Surviving with the wife are the following children: Mrs. Pearl Lacy and Jewell Dingley, Bland; and Egbert and Kitchener Dingley, Belle. Five grandchildren also survive with three brothers, Harvey Dingley, Mt. Leonard; Charley and William Dingley, Bland. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death. Mr. Dingley was a member of the Mt. Zion church for many years.
