FINN CONDUCTED FRIDAY Heart Attack Fatal to Father of Mrs. J.H. Mosby; Services Held Friday Afternoon Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Birmingham Chapel for Charles H. Finn, lifelong Maries Countian who succumbed to a heart attck Tuesday, February 12. The Rev. James Allen of St. James officiated at the rites. Interment was made in the Vienna Cemetery under the direction of the Birmingham Funeral Home. Charles H. Finn was born May 17, 1879 in Maries County, the son of Barnett and Melinda Finn, and died February 15, 1952 at the Chas. E. Still hospital of a heart attack. Death came unexpectedly as he had entered the hospital only two days before for treatment of a stomach ailment. He was 72 years, 8 months and 25 days of age at the time. He was preceded in death, rather recently, by his son, Willard. He attended school in Maries County and later became a carpenter by trade. On December 31, 1900 he was united in marriage with Eva Copeland. New Year's day of last year, the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Finn was highly respected in the community for his calm, even manner and personal code of ethics. His philosophic opinions were well regarded for fairness, generosity and a true Christian attitude. He would not speak unfavorably of anyone nor would he even listen to another reproach his fellow man. He was a member of the Baptist faith for 31 years to the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Evelyn Mosby of Linn, Mrs. Gracia Judkins of Jefferson City, Noah Finn of Vienna, Mrs. Alma Vaughan of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Berniece Snell and Mrs. Marjorie Mitchell, both of Jefferson City; Mrs. Naomi Matthews of Belle and Mrs. Mary Louise Edwards of the state of California; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers; Joe of St. Louis and Coleman of Vienna. . ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
