HELP!!!! I decided that I would start to organize my papers again today. (Haven't I done this before?) While I'm organizing. I'm finding bits and pieces of clues all over the place that I just haven't put together to make sense and follow up on. Duh!!! One of them is Miss Cinderella. I remembered seeing that name somewhere. Well I found her. John York and Cinder(r)ella Allen were my Great Grandmother Lillie Margaret (York) Line's parents. Lillie was born 17 Mar 1866 Phelps Co (Rolla). Too bad that's all I have! But it's a start! Anybody out there have anything else? As for my Prewetts and Seases, I found some notes from my mom. Bits and pieces. Martha L. Prewett had a whole sister they called Babe, maybe a Mary. Babe had a daughter named Glenny. Martha L. also had a couple of half sisters: Sylvia (whose son was Whip Wilson, some early western movie star) and Dell, who married a Pete Leiseman (sp?), who had a son named Earl (his wife's name was Pearl.) There was also a half-brother named Frank Prewett (married to Stella) who lived in Granite City, IL. So Martha's father had two marriages. Am not sure about her mother, because I don't know what the girls's surnames were. Mom has forgotten so much (still does well for 87 though), but one of her old notes says her Grandma (Prewett) Sease was married twice. ???? According to one of mom's old notes, Gr. Grandpa Sease (August) ran a liquor store in Maries Co, and also Rolla. (Liquor licensees? or does this predate that?) Gr. Grandma Sease (Martha L. Prewett) had first cousins named George and Mam(e). Also according to mom's notes, August had a brother named CharlieSease who ran a drug store in Dixon. Then it gets really confusing! There is a note that there were 14 half brothers and sisters. Am not sure if she's talking about Prewett side or Sease side. She shows a Lena McCaw Strobach who was the daughter of Uncle Charlie Sease, and a Charles Strobach, son of Charles, and something about a drug store at St. James. (Which county is that now?!?!) So did he (Charles) have step children?? And wait! There's more! Her note says 'John Sease, married once before, girl from Safe, MO, Faye.' immediately followed by 'Effie Biles died of TB. Liv 1 yr.' Now, which John Sease? John, August's father, or John, August's son, or who? John the son did marry a Fay, according to cousin's WFT file. But who was the first wife? and who was from Safe, MO and just who is Effie? AARRGGHH! I'm so confused! Dare you to figure this out! Any and all help accepted! Marty bwalter@theramp.net
