Mrs. Hull had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Hull was united in marriage on June 7, 1933, in Maries County, to James Moses Hull, and to this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 20, 1974; two sons, James Hull and Bobby Hull; her father on Feb 24, 1928; her mother on Jan. 16, 1955; four brothers, Leslie Backues; George Backues; Raymond Backues and Clarence Backues; and four sisters, Minnie Crider, Ethel Krenning, Lena Bennett and Zillah Elrod. Mrs. Hull was a member of the Church of Christ in Belle. She had been employed at Debs Shoe Company in Owensville, Langenberg Hat Factory in Vienna, as well as being a devoted housewife and homemaker. She was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Hull include: One son, Jack Hull of Belle; one daughter, Sarah West of Rolla; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Fond and precious memories of Mrs. Hull will remain in the hearts of her dear family and all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct 21, 2000, in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, with Bro. Dan Gannon and Bro. Ishamel Wilson, Church of Christ, officiating. Bro. Gannon lead the congregational sing of "How Great Thou Art" and "We Are Going Down The Valley" for the funeral service. Interment was in the Berthel Cemetery in Vienna, under the direction of Birmingham Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers were Gary Ragan, Jimmy West, Steve Fisher, Michael Goggin, Rick Sitze and Fred Buerman. Memorials are suggested to the Phelps County Regional Hospice with envelopes available at the Birmingham Martin Funeral Homes in Vienna.
