Dillard Green 1880 census: (Maries County) Dillard Green age 52 Mary age 54 Elizabeth age 19 (Dau) Mitty age 17 (son) Barbara & Joseph age 13 Harriet age 12 (dau) Margaret Davis (adopted dau) Caroline Binn (dau) John Thomas (boarder) William Light (boarder) John Light (boarder) Wm. Burgess (boarder) 1900 census: (Jackson Twp) Neuman Light age 30 (Mo)(I believe this man is really Newman West) Harriet (Green) age 29 (Mo)(Dillard Green's daughter) Bertie age 9 (Mo) Joseph age 7 Girtie age 3 Newman West married Harriet Green, 7/7/1890. The Lights & the Wests lived next to each other up river in Pulaski County. Right after the 1880 census of Pulaski County, I believe the West adults died of one of the epedimics. The West children were taken in by the Light family. They were all tie-rafters and that is how they became acquainted with the Green family down-river in Maries County. This is speculation on my part but I sure do believe it to be true.
