My husband is a descendant of Lytle Lambeth and his 2nd wife Sarah Copeland. However, I am very interested in Elizabeth Hawkins who had two children with Lytle: Samantha Lambeth (1849 - 1911) and Rachel Lambeth (1843 - 1911). Their 2nd child was born after the first child of Lytle and Sara. Now I'm not looking for scandal (although as genealogists we sometimes find more than we'd care to :-). I'm interested in Elizabeth and how she fit into the family dynamics. I do not find a marriage certificate for Elizabeth and Lytle and am now working on the assumption that they were not married. Later I discovered that Elizabeth married a Reverand Phillip Martin. Who are Elizabeth Hawkin's parents? When was she born? When did she die? What was her exact relationahip with Lytle Lambeth (1806 - 1883)? Any information would be most appreciated.
