Hi Shirley, My 4th great grandfather Thomas Jefferson Johnson came to Mo. in the very early 1800s, probably right after the LA Territoy purchase. He was married to Elizabeth Hastens or Hastings, Their daughter Elizabeth was born in Maries Co, Feb. 24, 1824. There were 9 children, including John Myscal, Abraham, and and my Isaac Johnson. Elizabeth married Zion R. Hawkins in 1845 They had seven children five boys, John, Wm. Luther, James, Thomas Carter and another son who died very early. I don't know his name. They had two girls, Mary Elizabeth, she married Isom Robinson, and Sarah Lucinda who married Luther Hutchinson. Elizabeth took her own life Oct. 6, 1920.
