I've been sitting here reading the messages regarding the Rowden's and couldn't help but think that the name was familiar sounding. So I went back to take a look at my research and found that I have information on ROWDON's. I'm not sure if it's a spelling variation or error but here's what I have and would appreciate any help as to whether or not it is the same family. All my lines center around Maries, Crawford, Franklin, Dent, Osage and Phelps county. I may have more information on this Rowdon line but I don't have access to it at this moment. It was included in a 186 page descendant outline got from a fellow researcher. It includes Copeland, Moreland, Sewell and Cook lines among ton's of others from that area. I haven't printed up the entire report but have it stored on my computer. I'm slowly going through it and cross checking and documenting sources on it. I'm only up to page 28 at this time. I can check it for others if they are interested in any of these lines. I'm considering uploading it to my Family Tree Maker home page for others to check, but not until it's cross checked as good as possible. Thanks, Laura

These are Rowdens from around Myerstown mostly. Minnie Rowden and her husband Roster Krone lived in what is known as the Palmer House, Rowden and Krone place among other names. It adjoined the old Asa Rowden place. Berniece Krone taught school at Red School.
