The name was changed after Herbert S. Hadley was elected Governer of Missouri. - AKA Heck Highgrove - Maries county - Highgrove was a PO in Johnson T. It was discontinued before 1938. This is a little over a mile S of Safe. Honseville - Maries county - Honseville was a store and PO in Spring Creek T. It was named for Robert Honse, storekeeper. It was formerly called Bert for Bert Allen, postmaster. - AKA Bert Kinderhook - Maries county - Kinderhook was located on the Gasconade R. It was the first post office in the county (1837). It was named for President Van Buren's birthplace. Sure would like to find this one. Lacon - Maries county - Lacon was a PO in Boone T. It was relocated several times. It was discontinues before 1938. Menton - Maries county - Menton was a PO in northern Boone T. It was discontinued by 1938.
