Tackett, daughter of Lewis I. and Jane Eads, was born in Maries County, Missouri, June 13, 1865. She passed away at the Tackett home in Vienna June 3, 1931 at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 22 days. February 26, 1884 Lydia A. Eads and James I. Tackett were united in marriage. To this union five children were born, four girls and one boy. Two girls dying in infancy. The three surviving children are M.M. Tackett, Mrs. Lucy Curtis and Mrs. Leona Terry all of Vienna. Mrs. Tackett was from a family of nine children, all of whom preceded her in death but one sister, Mrs. Malinda Briggs of Moriarty, New Mexico. She is survived by sixteen grandchildren, eight boys and eight girls. Eighteen years ago Mrs. Tackett united with the Christian church and held a firm faith in her Lord Jesus Christ from that hour till the time of her death. The Gazette joins the friends of this dear wife and mother in extending their sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
