Bill, I do not know if there is a connection or not to your Courtwrights, but there was a Burl Courtwright who was a past patient at Mo. State Sanitorium, now Mo. State Rehab at Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. and after being released he worked there for years and lived in Mt. Vernon. He was married but as far as I know there was no children. He also had a sister named Geneva Courtwright, who also was a past patient, then employee at the Mo. State Sanitorium and she never married. He died while living here, am not sure about Geneva. Do not know where they are buried or where they came from. Does any of this ring a bell? Sorry I can't help more. Gretta ----- Original Message ----- From: "William L. Gretta Bolien: Thank you. Yes, this fits, G. Geneva Courtwright died unmarried in 1982, last residence, Belle Missouri and is buried in the College Hill Cemetery as noted below. Yesterday I learned that a much younger half brother (Charles married again after 1930) is still living in Elmwood, Illinois. I wonder how much of the Sanitorium records are public, if any? He probably would have married in Lawrence County so there may be a marriage record there. If there were no children then that line would end and the record would be complete Bill Schwegler --- "Gretta J. Thanks for your help. Wanda PS: I did find where Nancy Ann Fann, daughter of George Fann Sr died in Macon Co, Atlanta, MO in 1905. She became a ward of the county after her husband died (John W. Parks) in 1903. Nancy was a daughter of George and Dorcas Fann. They were in Crawford Co in 1850 and in Maries Co after That. George Fann Sr. died 1851-1852. His will indicates the date. 1905: Obituary, Nancy Parks Mrs. Nancy Parks, age 73, who died at the county infirmary in January 1905 was buried at Mr. Tabor Cemetery. Her husband was buried there 13 Oct 1903, and she was taken immediately from the graveyard to the infirmary. She grieved a great deal at first about being a county ward, but finally became reconciled though she always said she wanted to died and "go home". She had lived near Atlanta until her husband's death. Friends there stood the expense of a handsome casket and saw to it she was buried with fitting ceremony. Nancy was a sister to Eliza Fann, my gg grandmother that married Lewis Blackwell. Wanda Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Since posting this I did obtain the following from his death cert: Henry's death certificate from Maries Co., MO shows he was a white, male, married to Jenetta Elizabeth Jones and born 14 Feb 1871 in Ft. Recovery, Ohio to David Jones (born in Conn.) and Elizabeth ____ (born in Rose Hill, OH). His age is given as 61 years, 1 month and 10 days. The informant was Elmer Jones of Elmont, MO. Date of death is 21 Nov 1932 from Pulmonary Tuberculosis. I'm not sure where the Connecticut birth came from unless he's not who I think he is. . . . Thanks again for any help.
