Jim, The information on these families is on the URL WebSite. http://www.stormloader.com/kvernon/fam/famind.htm Just click on this and scroll down to the name you want and click on it. It will open and you can print it out. There are close to two hundred families on this Website from Maries/Miller Counties and I have many others that are not on there, particularly from Maries County. DeVere
I am a descendant of George L Viessmann and his second wife Sarah Caecila Duffin. My grandfather , Henry, was their youngest child. I used to correspond with Judy Veasman, Omer's wife.

I have a Clemens Juergens in my 1860 Maries Co. census. It states that he was born in Prussia as was his wife. But his Wife's name [I assume it is his wife] is Mary. In 1860, he is 56 years and she is 47 years old. Quite a few children were shown, one of them named Clemens. The first 5 children were born in PA, the next 3 in Illinois and the last 2 were born in Missouri. If you want the names of the children, please let me know. I did not find any Menzel family in the census. There are quite a few Crismons however. They are the grandparents of my Grandmillie, Amelia Victoria Crismon, daughter of Gilbert Oliver Crismon and Unia Amelia Juergens. They came to Maries County about 1850 and were the first German Catholic Settlers in Maries County. My grandmillie said that they were married in 1838 in Pittsburgh, PA, but I can't find anything there on them. They stopped enroute to Missouri for a few years in Illinois finally getting to Maries Co. in 1850. Again, looking for any information on parents or siblings of Clemens Juergens or his wife Pauline Menzel. LIST, I have added 6 new articles to Peggy's Web Site, thanks to the typing help of Joy Jones, Anne Jones, Sharon Bean, Trueman Farris, Wilma Easley, & Joanne Morgan. I got a letter from Peggy today with some new articles. Here is a quote from her letter: "Thanks so much for all the time and trouble you have taken with this Web Page. You will never know how much I appreciate it and I hope it will be helpful to ANY and ALL who may be researching Miller County Families." There are about 35 articles on there now. This is really like having 70 family histories on there. Peggy includes both sides of the families highlighted, plus some of their children's families. Peggy is an interesting writer and whether it is your family or not, you feel like part of it. In these articles are where you could find the answer to that brick-wall because she refers to everyone that lives around these families. Here is the URL address for Peggy Smith Hake's Articles that run in the local newspapers and in other printed form. http://members.tripod.com/devere8/ DeVere
