Erma, I don't know where you live and what information you already have or are looking for. If you live in Missouri go to St. Louis County or St. Louis City Genealogy Library. The city has the best, they have census records, ships records on micro film and History books on practically all the Counties in Missouri. I would go to the courthouse at Potosi and look at tax records, marriage records, etc. I would find out at the courthouse if there is a Washington County Historical Society. If you don't live in Missouri, go to the largest Genealogy Library in your State Capitol or large city and see what they have on Missouri. Go to a Latter Day Saints Church and have them get on the computer to Utah and see what they have on who ever you are looking for. Hi Everyone, I am trying to piece together my husbands ancestry and am presently working on his Martin Family and their related lines. Hopefully some one out there researching Martins in the Dry Creek area will recognize these folks. There seem to have been a lot of Martins there, and I would assume that most of them were somehow related to each other, but so far I cant piece them all together. Any information, help, suggestions, etc. would be most welcome. I know hubby would love it if I could find some long lost cousins and Id be delighted too. Thanks Maggie Hall Here is what I think is correct for his line as far back as I have gone so far: William Martin (His family is listed on the 1880 census for Dry Creek Twp. Maries Co.
