I posted to another McCubbins in this about the possible connection. There was a Thomas W. and Lucy E. McCubbin found in 1860 Miller County Missouri census, page 421, #552-549. Thomas was 35 and Lucy was 25. Living with them was Robert Lemons, 22. Also living at #550-547 was John (75) and Elizabeth (70) McCubbin, thought to be Thomas' parents. (Some say that Elizabeth was a Lemons.) (Middle initials are different on census from other reference but thought to be the same people. Not certain which is correct. Marriage Record in Hardin Co, KY shows the marriage of John McCubbin to Betsy Lemmons on 31 Dec 1810) Betsy's sister Anna married Andrew Bilyeu in Hardin County, Kentucky in 1812. She and Andrew are also living in Miller County on both the 1840 and 1850 census. There are several Bilyeu families and McCubbin families shown in Miller County, MO in the 1840 census. 2. Genealogy Bug
    3. I've seen her shown as Eleanor with Ellen and Ellender in parenthesis. I think that Ellender is another version of Eleanor, not a last name. I am not researching the Lights - just working on the original settlers in the 1860 Maries Census. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Monday, August 24, 2009 5:29 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MOMARIES] Ellen Ellender Light This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
