    3. Forwarded by the ListAdmin for: "Virginia Jackson" <v.l.jackson@worldnet.att.net> I was looking for information regarding the Goforth family. I had looked at a 1870 Census for Maries county that supposedly had George W. Goforth on the census but for the life of me I couldn't find it. Any help with the Goforth's in Maries county would be greatly appreciated. Thank You! Sincerely, David Schweigert

    3. My grandmother, Martha May Roberson Nelson, wrote about Laura Fulkerson: "Aunt Laura Fulkerson was a sister of Silbrina. She never married and died when about 58 years old. I remember her. She was slim and had real black eyes and hair. She lived with grandmother (Silbrina), then when grandmother died she just lived with the relation awhile at each place. Aunt Laura was sickly when I remember her, so she wasn't able to make her own living. She mostly stayed at Tom Bodendick's. His wife's name was Alice." Silberina Fulkerson married Roysden Roberson and they are ancestors to several of us on this list. 3. Thank you Malinda, I too am not sure if our obsession is an addiction or vice versa, but I think we meet the nicest people. some of them are long removed cousins, some we aren't even related to, but still we try as a rule to share with each other. I think we care about each other although the chances of our ever meeting isn't to great, but we know the others are there. I really thank you all that have been sharing parts of the puzzle over the years. And thank you Shirley for letting me say this. Maggi

    2. Shirley, just wanted you to know we just had a research trip to Vienna, Brinktown and Rolla to search out our roots. It was so much fun to meet people that knew my grandpa, Mose Briggs and his wife Elmeda Helton and my dad Cornelius (Neil), and uncle Andrew Patrick(Andy). I still need some info on these families listed in the subject. Especially James Y. Briggs, Margaret (Martha) Shockley, Scott Terry Briggs, Bridgett Ellen Fennessey. I have the Kings sections on these families but would like to hear from anyone knowing my family and about what happened to Mose Briggs farm, if there is anything still standing? I would love to have a little souvenier from their farmhouse. My email address is idoivs2@aol.com thanks, Donna Briggs Heisterberg

    1. Re: [MOMARIES] Priscilla Hughes?
    2. If I were you~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (And I have been) Use the Social Security Death Index (on line)to get a List of the Hughs deaths in the 70s; eliminate the children, women, and males under 45. After getting the dates of deaths of the Male Hughs over 45 during the 1970s. ; You can use the main Library in Mass.,or order from your own micro-film of Main Newspapers. The Obits should mention the attending family; They will mention Funeral Services Provider, and cemetery. The Funeral Service Provider & Cemtry Office will have the "One and only child's address and last known Info.). If you find the Hughs man outright on the SSDI you can write for a copy of his last employer for $7. Call them and ask if his daughter claimed his pension, ins. Or, write the State for the death cert. for $10. and get the same data. This is what i did; I wrote to the State Education Records Department. Asking for a copy of the school records, signing the name of my relative (you need a complainee for someone to file a complaint, and if she shows up to complain about you signing her name-pay the $250. fine) . (ps. I was a veteran cop) Get the school records, write and get the medical records from the Hospital. Heck those are in your name.JUST DON'T TELL THEM SHE GAVE YOU UP,DON'T TELL ANYONE. Makes a simple task ,a political issue. The Hospital records and school records will show associations she belongd to.
