I remember a few months ago seeing a message come thru the site in which the person said he or she had some of the original records of Madison County. I have a possible fourth GGFather who may be the father of Joseph, Elisha and John Bennett and others I'm sure. His name was George Bennett and the index to the County court records indicated a probate was held for him I believe it was June 1823. The record has an entry in it that states the county Judge ordered the Clerk of the Court to remove and copy the probate recorts seperate from the other Court records. It seems in this process George's records were lost as they are no longer in the County Court Records except for the entry in the index nor the index or record of the probates. I desire to locate the person with the original records to see if possibly this probate is still listed in it. In other words--hheellpp--.. I'ts not easy being so close but no way to get a hold of the information. So I'll set here patiently awaiting a reply. This was probably the George born to Thomas Bennett Jr of Westmoreland County Virginia in 1752.
