    1. [MOMADISO-L] HURST of Madison Co., IL. after 1923
    2. The HURST family of Oregon & Shannon Co., Missouri had at least 2 children that moved to Madison Co., IL. about 1923 - James Alexander "Alec" HURST & Jack HURST. A Missouri newspaper tidbit said they moved to "Naylor". Can anyone tell me where Naylor is/was? When these brothers lived in Missouri their occupation was in the timber industry. Family tradition says that both of these brothers died and were laid out at the same funeral home in Madison Co., IL., at the same time, 1940-1945, and the funeral home was named Lehigh/Lyhigh (or something similar). I don't know how much of this information is correct, other then these brothers did move to Madison Co., IL. about 1923. I'm trying to determine when and where they died, and where they are buried. Any information will be very much appreciated. Gloria Hursey Ghursey2@aol.com

    2. Dr. Gerald N. Johnson, electrical engineer
    3. Naylor was in the eastern part of Ripley County MO. Ripley County was clear cut in the 1880s and 1890. The saw mills went out of business by 1910 and most of the lumbermen left the county. I'm not sure that the population of Ripley county has reached what it was in 1890. Gerald J.
