I have reached a point in my research that has me very confused. I have tried to find out where my gggrandmother Elizabeth McCLard Henderson, her son Daniel and his wife Mary Jane Peterman disappeared to in the 1850s. I have not been able to find either. What has me confused is that there are 2 Elizabeth Hendersons in Madison Co. during the period 1810 to 1853. My ggrandfather was the son of Elizabeth and older brother of Daniel. My ggggrandfather James Henderson came to Madison Co.,MO by 1821 with his brother Adams. James had a son Wilson, b. 1812 TN who married Elizabeth McClard b. 1810 VA on 25 Nov 1830 in Madison CO. After Wilson died in in 1831 some genealogyists indicate Elizabeth married Anthony Lance in 1851 and divorced him in 1853. Adams Henderson had daughter also named Elizabeth also born in 1810. A book of Madison county families lists, under the section on the Graham family, that Adams' Daughter Elizabeth was the one who married Anthony Lance. So 2 Elizabeth Hendersons are credited with marying Anthony Lance Can anyone help me with this puzzle and my lost ancestors. Ted
