    1. [MOMADISO-L] Re: henderson marriages
    2. I am trying to pin down the Henderson family that my great-great-grandmother belongs to. Sarah Henderson, reportedly born 1812 in South Carolina, was married to Spencer Sharp, and living in Madison County with one small child in 1830 census. They were listed in a separate household next to his father, Anthony Sharp, and his brother, Robert Looney Sharp. Robert Looney Sharp also had married -- Isabel Henderson. Their marriage is listed in the early records of Madison County, but no mention of who her parents are. Meanwhile, anot her Sharp sibling, Esther, married Robert Henderson, again no information. I did have a list of Adam's children and did not find these names among them. According to tradition of naming patterns, Sarah's father would have been named Nathaniel. Their first son was named Nathaniel Henderson Sharp. Robert L and Isabel named one son William Hughitt, a name not otherwise found among the Sharps. Do you have a missing Sarah, Isabel or Robert? love joan For this is the day that the Lord hath made Join me in rejoicing in it, and let us be glad!
