It's been a while since I posted my Madison Co. Ancestors. I've found a little since I posted 6 months ago... but not a whole lot. Descendants of Thomas Elmore Craddock Thomas Elmore Craddock b: 1781 in Virginia d: February 22, 1869 in Yuba Co., California +Hannah Cook m: May 21, 1808 Warren Co., Kentucky (possibly Bowling Green) b: 1785 in Kentucky d: Abt. 1845 in Fredericktown, Madison Co., Missouri (I don't know who Thomas' parent's were...father possibly named William, and he had brothers possibly named William and Edward (Edmond). He moved to KY with his brothers and their wives, married Hannah Cook, started his family. In about 1815, they moved to Madison Co, where he was reportedly a "pioneer of the county, entered and settled the Bronson Place, known as Buckeye Mines or Cobalt. He helped, as a carpenter, to build the old courthouse, and was a prominent citizen". Some other Craddock's reportedly came to MO also. After Hannah died in about 1845, Thomas, his widowed daughter, some of her children, his grown sons, and possibly other Craddock relatives, travelled to California. ) ...... Edmond Craddock b: 1826 in Missouri ...... Caleb Cox Craddock b: 1829 in Missouri d: January 10, 1906 in Sonoma Co., California Edmond and Caleb were the young adult sons that travelled to CA with their father. I don't have any marriage or children information on them, but have found them on the Great Registry of 1890 in Sonoma Co, CA, and have found land records for them also. Some records list Edmond as Edward. I know this is a long post, but hopefully some of these names will be familiar to someone out there!
