I have been told that Fredericktown's name has been changed to Park Hills. Is this true? Jim Brookes St. Ann, Mo.
Hi Listers, My husbands ggrandfather Daniel Robert Kelley d. in Madison Co. in 1923. Would his death certificate be available from the MO State Archives? I have found State archive prices are usually less than county court houses and State Depts of Vital Statistics charge. Linda McDowell in CA

It's reader allows you to insert the card a view different section with a magnifying projection. Michele

Stacey, When I was at the library at noon I checked the two Madison County Cemetery books for Fry name. This is what I found: Odd Fellow's Cemetery: McFarland, Fannie D. 11 Sept. 1879 - 10 Feb. 1963 nee FRY, wife of RM Masonic Cemetery: Fry, Edn_, Belle 1881, no date Fry, Francis R. (M.D.) 1854-1937 St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery: Fry, Joseph, Buried 13 Dec. 1904 Fry, Joseph 1800 - 12 Jan. 1875 Fry, Lucy Temple Buried 6 Aug. 1893 d/o Peter Ferdnand & Florence Eliz. (Mathews) I don't know if this will help you out or not. Fry doesn't seem to be a very common name in Madison County. There are probably other cemeteries that aren't in this book, but I wouldn't know about them since I'm based in St. Francois County. Good luck! B. I have the above named book and wish to protest one family listed in it ' The Descendents of Kiziah Penney Pioneer Settler. Who ever wrote this article had two women mixed up They both were apparently of about the same age and came to Mo about the same time. My Keizah or Kizzy Clubb was the daughter of Phillip Cobb who lived in Cape Girardeau county near Old Appleton with several children, Came to Mo some right after 1840 his daughter Kizzy married George Clubb in Lincoln County NC and settled near Marquand in Madison county. Phillip's father came to Mo in the very early 1830's and he and a son Starling died in 1833. In Cape Girardeau co Mo. My Gr gr grandfather married one of Phillip's daughers Mary b. May 1827 married Richard Jolly and they lived near Marquand, In Madison Co MO. Had a farm near Marquand I have Copy of her brother Roland Cobb's probate records who died in 1908 whech says that final payments had been made to all heirs except Kizzy Clubb. Her share was $28.73 but that Kizzy had departe this life and that they were therefore unable to obtain her receipt. , also that at the time of her death she was indebted to him personally on an account for $18.50 and on a note for $50.00 they closed the accout. She is buried in the Whitner cemetery near Marquand, Madison co MO. Tombstone inscription gives b. as April 15 1819 d. 12 sept 1906. Opal MCKinzie Haas
HI! I am also interested in cmemtarties for Madison County. I have a GGGGrandfather that lived there in 1840's. He has a LARGE gap between children during the time he lived there and I'm wondering if perhaps they lost a few. Since they had 11 and they were all 2 years apart this 6 year gap seems strange. Are there in records of the cemetaries (since what I am looking for would probably no longer be legiable). If someone was willing to do a look up the last name would be Fry. Thanks a bunch Stacey
I located a topographical map of Fredericktown and notice a large unnamed cemetery on the southern part of the city line on Main Street (or BR 67). Which cemetery is this? Can anyone tell me if Lindell Shoemaker (1935-1985) is buried in this cemetery? We will be in Fredericktown in May doing some cemetery hopping. Thanks, John Arlington, TX

The last child of King David Rhodes and America Forsyth was America Jane (Rhodes) Powell, b Aug 27, 1902, who we think was living in Madison County in 1929. Seeking contact with descendants. Elaine

Has the genealogy of Christian Rhodes, b c1770, on the 1830 Madison County Census been determined? Did he leave a will? Do we know the names of his children? Elaine
