Burial at New Cambria Cemetery." >From "Macon County Obituaries, 1889-1904", pg. 35 by Phyllis Mears: "Mrs. Amy JOHNS, 74, died 3 January, 1893. Interment New Cambria Cemetery." >From "Macon County Obituaries, 1904-1920", pg. 185 by Phyllis Mears: "C. P. JOHNS died 1 April 1912. Born in Chariton Co., MO 28 January 1848. Married Sept 1881 to Jannie Perkins. One daughter: Mrs. Katie Phillips. Funeral: Woodville Church." >From "Macon County Obituaries, 1904-1920", pg. 53 by Phyllis Mears:"Thomas JOHNS, 85, died in Bevier 10 December 1905. He had been a resident of New Cambria at one time. Funeral: Congregational Church in New Cambria and interment in New Cambria Cemetery." Obits for these individuals may be copied from microfilm of the actual newspaper if you want any of them. Phyllis Mears simply recorded the important data from the newspaper and compiled it into books. I searched for the JOHNS surname in marriages, wills, deeds, and the 1884, 1910 & 1987 Macon County History books.
