Obit for Charles CRABTREE from "Macon County Obituaries, 1904-1920" by Phyllis Mears: "Charles CRABTREE died 14 January 1904. Buried Oakwood Cemetery, Bevier, MO." St. Charles Cemetery, Bevier, MO (right across the road from Oakwood Cemetery): CRABTREE: Mamie V., Oct 26, 1888 - June 16, 1890 CRABTREE: Mollie F., Feb 22, 1881 - May 15, 1881 BRINKER: Arnold Lee, Oct 31, 1916 - March 21, 1918 aged 1 yr., 4 mo., 2 days. Regarding your questions abt. family plots, etc. I went to one of the funeral homes and was told that Woodlawn Cemetery in Macon is the "city" cemetery. It was divided into sections for white people, black people and the poor people who had no means to pay for a burial. I am sorry to say that I found no tombstones at all in the Woodlawn Cemetery listings at the Macon Library. These listings were made in 1963. Therefore, I was not able to find a family plot of any kind. Because of the obits, however, we know that at least some BRINKER family members are buried there. The last thing we could possibly do is to contact the City Office to see if they have records of burials in Woodlawn. I had such fun looking up this info for you and I hope this helps your search.
