I have read through this book......It is most interesting....I did not realize there were so many mines in Macon county and I always thought that strip mining was the only kind of mining done.....Some of the places named were names that I had heard my Uncle Carl Powell talk about...Ardmore being one of them.....Is there any information, anywhere regarding the businesses in Bevier, my grandfather was a businessman there.....also the Bevier Reunion....In either 1950 or 1951 while I was still a student nurse I came to a Bevier reunion with Ellen Tanner who was secretary to the Director of Nurse where I was going to school.....I believe her father was Ben Tanner...Do they still have those reunions and if so....when do they have them....
