McKinzy, now the wife of Royal McKinzy; Second Minerva A. Scott, the wife of Frderick H. Scott; Third John H. Winkler; fourth William M.? Winkler; fifth Rachel M. McKinzer, the wife of Adolphs? Lewis is the son of Henry Winkler II and Jane Winkler Abner from Estill Co., KY. It appears they moved to the Randolph/Macon Co., MO area between 1826-1832. There is quite a lot of info on the Internet about the Winkler ancestry. My database on Lewis' siblings (which includes William M., Henry, John, Margaret, Louisa, and Frances M.) is growing. I'll be happy to share whatever I have. Faith

Since I have been doing the tree I have met so many wonderful people and "new family" members. I am very excited about doing this Family Tree. I started this Family Tree Project as I have been diagnosed with the early stages of alzheimers and wanted to share my family history with my nieces and nephews. I never married and have no children so, I wanted to leave something for them to know our "American and European Roots" The Family Tree Program which allows you to do a scrapbook has been wonderful to use as it allows pictures to be uploaded as a portion of the Family Tree. Once again thank you for posting the documents. Mary

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/DNB.2ACI/371.1 Message Board Post: The Newton's you are looking for have several names that match what we have on the "Newton" side of the family. The following is the information we have for our Newton's. Hopefully, the this information is helpful. If you think this is the same family, please e-mail me I do have some additional dates and other information for the Newton family members. William and Anna (Dalton) Newton were married in Upland Pennsylvania on September 30, 1853, by the Rev. J.B. Maddux. The marriage was announced in the Delaware County Republican on October 4, 1853. The Newton's left Pennsylvania and moved to Missouri, later moving to Wisconsin and back again to Missouri (both are buried in LaPlata, MO). William was born January 13, 1827 in Lancashire, England and died August 11, 1902 in Macon County, Missouri. Anna was born April 6, 1831 in Dalson, England and died September 13 or 15, 1903. We are currently getting court documents regarding William's will from Macon County. They had the following children: Elizabeth "Lizzie" Newton who married George C. Daugherty. Elizabeth was born August 22, 1854 and died March 1877. George Daugherty was born abt. 1853 in Macon Co., MO. I show only one child Fountain William Daugherty. George's father's name was Fountain. Fountain William was born February 22, 1877 and Lizzie died in March 1877. I can only guess the son was named after both grandfathers. Joseph Newton - born August 6, 1857, Lafayette Co. WI and died January 6, 1860 Samuel Newton - born July 17, 1859 in Darlington, Lafayette Co., WI and died February 22, 1924 Wilson Twp., Adair Co., MO. - buried LaPlata Cemetery. Samuel Newton married Lillian Goodrich July 13, 1890 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. Sam and Lillie had the following children Mae, William, Ruth, Harry, Florence "Evelyn or Eveline", and Opal. George William Newton - born August 6, 1862, Darlington, Lafayette Co., WI and died July 16, 1953 LaPlata, MO. He married Lela Abigail Ives on August 1, 1885 in Phillips Co., Kansas. Lela died October 12, 1949, LaPlata, MO. They are buried at the LaPlata Cemetery. They had nine children Ada, Lola, Ray, Mabel, Orville, Hazel, Kenneth, Mary and Harold. Horace Edward Newton born July 16, 1864 Darlington, Lafayette Co., WI and died in 1837. I have a marriage license showing that he married a Annie Churchill in Phillipsburg, Phillips Co., Kansas on August 14, 1887, but other records indicate he was married to Mary English. Cyrus Lincoln Newton born March 10, 1867 in Lafayette Co., WI and died April 3, 1867. Laura Newton born August 22, 1870 in LaPlata, MO. and died in 1931. She married Elbridge Bruce Cuffel he was born in 1868 and died in 1941. Both are buried at the LaPlata Cemetery. John Franklin Newton born August 3, 1873 in LaPlata, MO and died in 1952 he married Myrtle Hockett on February 18, 1897.
