I found a listing of a marriage on the LDS site for Sophia Box and August Davis December 26, 1881 in Macon and wonder if there is a way to find a copy of the marriage certificate. Also, they both immigrated from Sweden - was there one area of Macon County that most of the Swedish people lived? Thanks for your help. Marge Williams

I am trying to find proof that the following were the children of Jesse Mullinix and his wife Elizabeth Wright: 1. Amy Mullinix Gilstrap 2. Rebecca Mullinix Sumpter 3. Preston Mullinix 4. Lucinda Mullinix Cooley of Macon County 5. Malinda Mullinix Miller 6. John Mullinix 7. Evans Mullinix 8. James Mullinix 9. Sarah Mullinix Miller] 10. Nancy Mullinix Parton I descend from Lucinda Mullinix Cooley and want to do a supplemental application to DAR on my line to Richard Wright who was in the AWR. To do this I need something to prove that Lucinda is Jesse Mullinix's daughter. Lucinda Cooley's obituary does not name her parents nor siblings, so that is out. I have not found anything in Putnam county to help me. Does anyone have proof? Is anyone working the daughter Sarah Mullinix that married Frederick Wilson Miller? She died in 1864 in Adair County and I am wondering if someone might have an obituary on her with a list of her siblings.
Martha- My husbands family is related to the Mullinix's Jesse was born in 1789 in Randolph Co, NC Jesse and Elizabeth were married Aug 10 1810 in Wayne Co Kentucky Elizabeth was born in 1795 in Wayne Co Kentucky I don't have death dates yet (still looking) I will be happy to share anything that I have. The LaPlata Library has found an obituary for an uncle I have been searching for, Andrew Fulmer. He is buried at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Sue City. Does anyone know anyone having a list of the burials in this cemetery? Jane Wisdom, Topeka

In Lucy Lyell and Patrick Pinckard's Bible, in my possession, "Patrick McLine Pinckard, Jr. was baptised by Bishop James Osgood ANDREW at his Grandfather Lyell's on the 4th of October 1853." Another child of Lucy Lyell and Patrick Pinckard, Jr., was Jemima McNEIL (also spelled McNEAL in same Bible) Pinckard, who met her husband, James Redmond GOODDING in Macon County while she was there visiting relatives there. Other names in the family Bible are RAINWATER and YOUNG, both of Ray Co., MO, Walter HALLIBURTON, of Macon Co., Walter Lee HUNTER. I have just purchased a scanner and software to scan my genealogy material, including this Bible to the internet. Meanwhile, I am happy to do any lookups. Thanks, Carla Hunter Southwick
