Does the obituary state if Thomas was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery? I have found a Thomas Graves who was a Civil War soldier buried in Woodlawn according to Ellsberry's Macon Co. Cemetery records but no birth or death date is listed in her book. I don't know if the stone has this info or not, but know that from other cemetery records that Ellsberry sometime missed some of the graves. Again, thank you so much!

I was in Holliday, MO driving down the main street (the only main street) when I passed a road named Cemetery Road and took a chance. It worked. Unfortunately, the earliest ancestors to die in that location were not buried there, although all their descendants were present (the dead ones, anyway). Some early settlers were buried in private cemeteries which are mostly unmarked. I think there should be some agency to contact, perhaps in Paris, which might have a listing.
