My ancestor died in 1856 and his younger children were "tutored" out. One of them was James Franklin Watkins who was in the Canton area of Lewis Co. in April of 1870. By that time, he would have been about 20. I have been looking for the six minor children for over thirty years and this is the best lead I have had so far.
