Author: featherednest57 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.lewis/1411.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The earliest Creasy in my line that I have is John Creasy married Elizabeth Woodson Bugg in Fluvanna County Virginia in 1780 John's parents are reported by some researchers to be from Nottinghamshire England but I hesitate to say this because the dates I have don't match up. John's son was Jesse Creasy (1785-1839) m. Elizabeth Hore (1787-1847)in Bedford Co Va but I know Elizabeth didn't die in 1847--she died about 1860 in Lewis, MO. I also think Jesse died about 1836 just before Elizabeth moved to MO. His brother David H. Creasy settled Jesse's estate between 1836 and 1841 according to the will books. I believe the money was how Elizabeth financed the purchase of land in MO during those years.
