We must be cousin's because William and Julia Wendover Pilcher are also MY GGGrandparent's! They apparently had at least two boy's named George and Joseph.......Your George Washington Doane and my Joseph Felix Mendellsohn. So, if you come from William and Julia, by way of, George, I come by them via Joseph. So, your George would be my Great Uncle and my Joseph, your Great Uncle.
