The name of father was likely "Duward" or "Duerd" if spelled as it must have sounded. The "D" is the same way he made the "D" in the "Dont know" for mother's maiden name. That is likely "D" O Leslie for the informant as shaped exactly the same as the other 2 "D"s. As to the first name or initial of John Leslie...
