Verle, I had no luck with the obituary of Francis LUMLEY. I called the Historical Society and they couldn't find one. Thanks for the help! Now I at least have the phone number and address of the society for future use. Linda Pendleton --------------------------------- Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell.

I am in search of an obituary somewhere out there for a Francis LUMLEY (b. 1808). He married 2nd wife Jane ABRAM (6 Aug 1852) in Adams Co., ILLINOIS. He is buried in Lewis Co., MISSOURI in the Sharpe-Hinkson Cemetery. He died 13 November 1896. Would anyone know where I should search? What Lewis Co., and surrounding newspapers were around back then? Any ideas/tips? Thanks! Linda Pendleton --------------------------------- Choose the right car based on your needs. Check out Yahoo! Mo. This doesn't mean that they aren't buried in Lewis Co.. Just means there was no stone read with their names on it. Only Story's buried in Lewis Co. cemetery book is a Donald(1909 - 1979) and a Ruth(1924 - )(still living at 1980 time period. Most of the cemeteries were read around 1980. They are not listed in any census after 1860. 2 children, Dora and George were born to them. 1862 and 1867. George Jr. is listed in the 1880 census in Monticello, and his sister in Blackburn, Saline Co. Family tradition states that George Sr. died when the children were small and the children were raised by other families. "Whom"? What happened to Caroline their mother?
