Hello Folks, Hope you have survived this summer's heat and really crazy weather. I actually think the heat and Crazy weather has been happening for eons - but now, with the instant media coverage and the satellite overhead recording all of it - instant by instant we have been made more aware of it. Anyway, Hang in there - Fall is just around the corner. I have a new up-date on my Buford website ~ I would be pleased if you all would drop by and take a look. www.bufordfamilies.com Best wishes, Fern K. Buford Walker

Might be some related names, however. Latest death records appear to be the latter 1850s and births are labeled as from Jan. 13, 1856 to Nov. 23, 1879. http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/mo/lewis/vitals/stpeter.txt Birth & Death Parish Records, Lewis Co., MO St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, La Grange, MO. I'm hoping there might be some church records that have survived from the 1870's. My gg grandparents, Phillip & Marie Margrethe STRIETER are listed on the 1870 census for Knox, Co., town of Jeddo. The surname of STRIETER has been indexed under STRUT and one daughter, Christine was indexed under STREET with HQO (HeritageQuestOnline). My great grandmother, Anna STRIETER was born in LaBelle (or Jeddo) on 29 March 1872. I think there is a possibility ? that Marie Margretha (WACHTER) STRIETER died in Knox or Lewis Co. in 1872. Thanks for any suggestions, Karen Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I agree. Lewistown Cemetery is just on the north edge of town. You could throw a rock from the main street and get it to the cemetery ... almost. WILSON And Allied Families of N. E.
