She married Mathew Mauck 15 Feb 1874 in Kahoka, Clark Co., MO. She gave birth to a daughter, Grace Reynolds Mauck, 27 Jan 1875. This is the last time I can find a record of her. In the 1880 Federal Census for Sweet Home TWP, Clark Co., MO. Grace, age 5, is living with her grandparents, David & Amelia Mauck. Her father, Mathew, shows up in later years, but not her mother, Ada. I think she either died in childbirth or there after since I can't find a record of her after 1875. I can't find a death record, obituary or cemetery record. I'm at my wits end. I think she was born about 1848 and I think in Missouri. I don't know who her parents were or where they came from. On 14 Nov 1879, Clark Co., MO., Mathew Mauck married Alvira Cade. So this tells me Ada Alice died before this date. I really need your help out there. Thanks for at least reading this. Hello Folks, Just getting around to another Buford Website up-date. Hope this finds you all well and looking forward to Thanksgiving. I am - it's my favorite holiday when family and friends get together and exchange all that has happened to us in the past year. The weather forecast for next Thursday is snow - now, it just doesn't get any better than that. The Grandsons will have a ball.... Drop by and take a look at my new up-date... www.bufordfamilies.com My very best wishes to you all, Fern K. Buford Walker
Hello Lewis County Missouri List. I am seeking information on Madison G Hawkins, & Joseph C Skirvin families, These families were living in Vinita Oklahoma in 1920. I have some photos taken in 1921-1922-1923 of some young ladies, which I believe to be children of the families. I will be happy to scan & Email to anyone that thinks they can identify these ladies. Thanks Orley H Taylor

I know the years have gone by. Up to the 1950's he was the Doctor for much of SouthWest Lewis County. He used to treat me, and all of us, any day or night, including a few of our farm animals. He was a fellow straight out of a Norman Rockwell setting. It will be those 55 and over who may retain those memories of him. I would like to hear from you folks if you remember this very kind hearted man who even took some pork or beef or corn for payment. I thank you all. Thank you. Further, as of that date, someone maintains and clears the site. It's on the left side of Highway 6 (as you travel west...and maybe one mile past the Ewing High School.) The earliest date I have ascertained is about 1800 (the inscriptions are badly eroded but I believe paper/pencil etching would bring them out. I have counted eight graves.
